Our Cattle
We have a suckler herd of over 100 cattle with a mixture of cows, calves, heifers, steers and bulls. We manage them to be as close to a natural herd of ruminant animals as possible - outside all year round, grazing native plants, in one big herd, with minimal intervention.
Outdoors All Year Round
Fresh air and sunshine keep our cows very healthy. They are incredibly hardy and can thrive in very cold weather due to their thick winter coats.
Low Stress Handling
We strive for respectful, loving relationships with all our animals and this starts from birth. We keep our calves with their mothers for as long as possible.
Excellent Nutrition
Lush diverse pasture that is sustenance and medicine rolled into one. We integrate trees and shrubs so they have access to as wide a spectrum of nutrients as possible.
Natural Behaviour
Our animals are free to express instinctive behaviours like rubbing, scratching and bonding which dramatically increases their well-being.
